Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them – Work, Family, Health, Friends and Spirit and you’re keeping all of these in the Air.
You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back.
But the other four Balls – Family, Health, Friends and Spirit – are made of glass. If you drop one of these; they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for it.

人生とは5つのボールをジャグリングしているようなもの。それは仕事、家族、健康、友人、そして精神だ。すぐに気がつくとは思うのだが、そのうち仕事のボールだけはゴムで出来ていて、たとえ落としたとしてもすぐに跳ね返って戻ってくる。
だけど残りの4つのボールはガラス製だ。もし、落としてしまったら、傷つくかもしれないし、割れてしまうかもしれないし、決して元に戻りはしない。この現実に僕たちは向き合わないといけない。
5つ目の「精神」っていう単語が日本語的にはひっかかるけど、でもまあ、英語と日本語だとニュアンス違うしね。
